Nevermind stylistic categories. Eltrons, Czech Jolany and similar inventions were available. Eh, these boys’ dreams ...
We arranged a rehearsal at the Cytryna Medics Club, went to the rehearsal, and there ... Our jaws dropped. On the stage stood a band that sounded and looked like a band that is currently playing a concert in London's Marquee. The tactful beat produced by the cosmically sounding drum machine pierced the dark, mysterious and ... colorful sounds against the background of the yawning gray of the city. The musicians also looked like from a slightly different currency zone. Full goth UK underground ... Cold colors, but so expressive against the background of what we saw and heard then ... A bit different world for boys from the 12th High School in Łódź. This other world was Pornography, rehearsing on the Cytryna scene.

Many people from the Lodz music community recall the excellent creative atmosphere of Cytryna and the fact that many projects were born there that sounded sharply "forward" in those years.
It was one of those places in Poland where a dozen or so creative personalities created almost as many musical projects in different constellations, taking advantage of the unique atmosphere of this place and it must be admitted that they managed to create a unique sound for those times in Poland, not different from contemporary classics.
There was music on that stage that is being heard here. You also have in your hands a testimony that the timeliness of expressive sounds is obligatory and time in culture is a relative thing. We are in 2017 ... 16 years have passed since Dr. Dave Bowman turned off HALa, and in a few months Rick Deckard will fall in love with the replicator - Rachael ... Well, let's get away from the cinema, really, although it's easier to write about it, since as Zappa noted, writing about music is like dancing about architecture ...
Cold wave, or without any label, dark, motoric and full of mysterious space rock music around the world is currently experiencing its second youth, even classics like The Cure and The Mission are returning to the sounds of their early albums. In recent years, triumphs are celebrated by bands created by people who at that time were teenagers (Interpol) children (Editors) or even were in the embryonic phase, such as Savages, Viet Cong, Eagulls, Holograms, and Total Control. Listen to the music from the cassette, which if it were produced today … Better not speculate. Let it sound like it sounded from a cassette ... Cold colors of the second half of the 1980s.

Pornography, which was created in 1987, already two years later toured in communist Czechoslovakia, played at many alternative music festivals, appeared in several TV programs, cooperated with other artists, including Anja Orthodox, who is also heard on this tape, Wojtek Smarzowski, the creator of the clips, author of photo sessions and about a thousand concert shots of the band. The summary of the band's early activities was the first spot on the Scouts' Radio charts and the effect of the mentioned actions was the double participation of Pornography as the star of the Jarocin Rock Music Festival 1990 and 1994.
The group honored the Castle Party Festival three times and supported all editions of the WOŚP (Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity) until its suspension in 1997.
The band's leader, guitarist, vocalist and composer Tytus De Ville also played in Fading Colors and Daimonion among others, he also released a minimal ambient solo album entitled ECO.
Currently, with the new instrumentarium, Pornography has been touring again for several years, but its music sounds a bit different, more postpoint, guitar, while maintaining a characteristic cool climate. Perhaps more than ever it is worth visiting their concert now. They played with a drum machine then, today with a live drummer. They sound more mature and, most importantly, very good again. Now Pornography is a trio composed of: Titus De Ville - vocals, guitar; Tommy Sex - bass, Michał Robert J. - drums.
