JUDE

Pigment

158 | 2017

The latest album of the legend of Polish industrial!

Jude is a soundtrack to a falling world. Music is as mutilated as this world. Our individual experiences, our individual sense of pain, smallness is like a microcosm, but it can be translated into a universal experience, it is a whine of a falling world. The new Jude album is marked by rawness, Jude's music has even more vivid, almost wild energy. The Pigment album was created in severe pain, in severe anti-greenhouse conditions. A negative, devoid of optimistic accents, aura is recognizable in every fragment. Jude's music is to touch and hit but also to cleanse and leave it to others.

Jude's new album surprises with an extended group of instruments. An unexpected elements, sirens and trumpets are widely used byJude. Their presence is shocking, disturbing and waking us up from lethargy. Pigment is a block of accumulated sound block, without brakes of audio treatment. A wedge of active energy sticking into complacency and comfort. A step forward in the exhibition of what Jude has always associated. One after another, ruthlessly enforced moments of pressure. There's a passion inJude. Heat and methodical maximalism. Powerful guitars build noise walls, enriched with residual electronics that hit the target. Repetitions put you in a trance and then break down. Break and continue the arduous atmosphere building. Jude is also a strenuous vocal spitting out a scream and password mantras.
Pigment lyrics expose the soul quarry. Consciousness as a prison, as an existence torture camp. In the monochrome influenza aesthetics, the title Pigment may suggest the appearance of color. It's probably different. In conversations with authors, Pigment functions as a synonym for stigma. Origin, race, skin color. A problem that has always consumed humanity.
In Jude's music you don't hear the ease of playing, it is roughly hewn, like stony lump harrowed in drudgery.
