Kirkut-Koncept

1986-1990

59 | ARCHIVE SERIES 11 | 2012 / 2014

The two-disc, limited collector's edition, containing archival recordings of the Kirkut-Koncept group, is 120 minutes of stylistically and formally varied music: from rock expression, ballad poetry to extensive group improvisation. The CD comes with a richly illustrated book with the history of the band, written by its founders. A must-have for fans of Polish independent music of the 1980s.

Kirkut – Koncept is a music group founded in 1985 by Ireneusz Socha and Arkadiusz Franczyk. The group was part of the then independent artistic community of Dębica, known as D.R.U.T. (Dębicka Rzesza Uprawiaczy Tfurczości) - the name comes from the artzin published by artists from Dębica. During the six years of the group's existence, the band released 9 cassettes, and despite a small number of concerts, it was rated by critics among the most innovative independent rock groups in Poland in the 1980s.
