Music inspired by the birth of new life. Audible influences of minimal music and the
electro–acoustic school of noise generation. All of this is typically atmospheric for Spika and, while there are some pulsating moments, the listener is relocated to a distant and forgotten world, but familiar to all of
us.

From the early eighties Michal Jeziorski (born 1974) was not only fascinated with electric music but also with the technology which is used to create such music. It is due to albums such as "Some Great Reward" by Depeche Mode and the experimental accomplishments of Tangerine Dream from the music company Ohr, that the first symptoms in his consciousness started to appear, showing that his first fascination with such music could lead to creating solo projects.
Already in 1991 after buying his most desired equipment (sampler Roland S-10 and sequencer PR-100) that the first bold samples were created in this field. It was also in this period that he was most influenced by the creations from other artists under the EBM flag and New Beat (Nitzer Ebb, DAF, Front 242).
A year later after a chance meeting with Tomasz Bucholc who years earlier went to the same high school that it was realized that similar fascinations in the same field of music could lead to musical collaborations. Through this and along with other musicians from the Deus Ex Machina group (Michal Orlowski, Maciej Palasiński) hours were spent on improvised sessions using new absorbing equipment. This was also a time when things in the field of electric music were changing rapidly and similar projects were being created (ex. Switch with guitarist from the Tricity band Hektcore & Tribe – Michal Danielowski).
The dynamically expanding scene of techno music in the world led to a true "electric explosion" which impacted the creation of a new project – Ptah. This duet was created with long-term friend Rafal Zydorek. At the end of 1993 the first compositions are created, after which the whole album is put on tape and released. Further productions were also created, which Jarek Drazka from the non-existent radio station Radio Arnet popularizes in his show Drewutnia Drwala Dragala. A song from Ptah also finds its way onto a compilation album called "Antyscena". Music in this time is created stylistically close to productions released by such music companies as Warp.
In 1996 Ptah ceases to exist in the previous line-up, however Michal Jeziorski continues his work under this name creating remixes of such artists as Hedone, Subcode or Agressiva 69. In 1997 a song of Ptah gets released on composition album "Transelected by DJ Sesis" (EMI Music Poland). Through this negotiations are started to release a so-called bigger album.
In 1998 a further proposition of co-operation arises. This time from Piotr Lukaszewski (former IRA, Ptaky) who during this time is completing his search for new artists for a newly created band (Karmacoma). After listening to some demo material Michal Jeziorski decides to join. A year later under the flag of Universal Music Poland the debut album of the group is released. Also during this time Michal takes part in the creation of the soundtrack for the film "Last Mission".
On the brink of 1999/2000 the musician leaves Karmacoma and begins working with Tomasz Lipnicki (former Illusion, Lipali). Michal takes part in the recording of Lipnicki's solo album (release occurs in 2000 by Universal) as also appears in the first band concert line-up of Lipali.
After a period of co-operation with other musicians (this again occurs during the recording of "Playboy" by Hedone) the project Spika comes into being. Still in 2002 Lukasz Pawlak publisher and propagator of ambient electric music finds fragments of compositions of Spika on the Internet.
"Quickly a collaboration is entered into with Requiem Records,
which further leads to the release of "Headphones" in 2003 and
"Sonic Journey Through New Life" in 2006. After a five year
hiatus a new album is released named "Death Trip".
