Das Moon is a musical journey back in time - into the past and ... into the future. The charismatic trio is inspired by such icons of the scene as Einstürzende Neubauten, Laibach, Kraftwerk or Depeche Mode, but they create their own unique style. Identification marks? A large dose of electronics with an admixture of the new wave sound of guitars and raw percussion instruments, as well as the mesmerizing voice of the singer Daisy K.
Das Moon has been in existence for 6 years in its present shape. The team consists of three different, strong personalities that complement each other perfectly. Daisy K. is a singer and poet, DJ Hiro Szyma - a DJ, a drummer and a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Musiol is a producer of electronic music and multimedia with a diploma from Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Das Moon matured for several years to appear in its present shape, and the starting point was the Rh + Audiovisual Group of Friends, whose work was based on experimenting with sound and image. It was then that the idea of playing in electro-industrial aesthetics was born, following the path of alternative pop. Synchronous video projections are an important element of Das Moon's concerts. The band sings in English, German and Polish.
The first album of Das Moon, "Electrocution", was released in 2011 by the Polish Radio Phonographic Agency. The album was mastered by the famous producers Emily Lazar and Joe LaPorta at The Lodge studio in New York, who had collaborated in the past with stars such as Depeche Mode, The Prodigy, and Björk.
This fall, the band wants to release their second album. Its trailer is the single, which in June 2014 will be released in an unusual two language versions: English - "Colors" and Polish - "O.L.K.A". The album is created in collaboration with music producer Paweł Gawlik, Requiem Records and the global digital distributor Believe Digital. The video for the English version of "Colors" was directed by Roman Przylipiak. The music video is also a preview of a full-length feature film by the same director with the music of DAS MOON.
