Requiem Records' mission
Requiem Records is a label active since 1994, dedicated to building bridges between generations and artistic communities. It delves into the depths of the Polish Radio Experimental Studio through the Exclusive Archive Series. It reissues recordings by Polish bands from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s as part of the Archive Series. It also “brings contemporary, classical, and choral music out of the salons” and organizes concerts under the Zawieje banner– events known for their unique atmosphere, close proximity to the artists, and an intimate, камерa-like setting. These concerts take the form of personal invitations to singular, mysterious events.
An extensive catalogue of styles and artists – nearly 500 releases across vinyl, CD, cassette, and zine formats – includes electronic music, classical music, jazz and avant-garde, as well as new wave / post-punk.
The label’s releases are not only outstanding musical works, accompanied by distinctive, author-designed artwork that often serves as an artistic manifesto, but also collectible series available in deluxe editions.
