Home and Away is an original album by Joanna Kawalla inspired by exotic travels. On the album, the artist and her friends - Paweł Gusnar (saxophone), Grzegorz Gorczyca (piano) and Leszek Lorent (drums), take the listener on a musical journey to distant corners of the globe, taking him to the Andean summit, showing before his eyes the beauty of a coral reef or introducing him to a Buddhist temple, to make him return home at the end. All the pieces on the album were written for Joanna Kawalla in the 21st century by outstanding Polish composers - Benedykt Konowalski, Aleksander Kościow, Dariusz Przybylski, Szymon Kawalla and Ignacy Zalewski.
