Daniel Pigoński
275 | 2026
"Pigon poetry" is the solo album by Polish musician Daniel Pigoński (known from Polpo Motel, Bye Bye Butterfly, and formerly Pustki), created in collaboration with guest vocalists Olga Mysłowska, Joanna Halszka Sokołowska, Ola Bilińska, Aneta Jankowska, and Jakub Ziołek. The album was produced and recorded by Hubert Zemler, who also played a key role in shaping its distinctive sound.
Inspired by the poetry of Ilona Witkowska, while also drawing on works by several renowned Polish poets, the album explores themes of love, intimacy, memory, and the passing of time. It reflects on fleeting moments of happiness and the fragile beauty of human connection.
Musically, Pigon poetry blends electronic music, minimalism, and experimental composition with a wide range of vocal expressions. Echoes of 1980s cold wave and minimal synth emerge through analog synthesizers, repetitive structures, and restrained yet immersive arrangements. The result is a deeply atmospheric and emotionally resonant album, balancing warmth and distance, tenderness and melancholy, while remaining open to listeners beyond language or cultural boundaries.
