Polyester Beat was established in 2008. The initiator and originator of the project was Piotr Szwabe aka Pisz - a Gdańsk poet and painter. Polyester was to be a one-off musical performance and its aim was to revive the formula of the Sopot poetry slam. Pisz invited two friends to cooperate: Karol and Rob. In a short time they prepared live material inspired by electro and synth pop.

After the first performance, well received by the public, Pisz and Rob decided to continue the project. They started working on new material. It took almost two years. The vocal parts turned out to be the main problem. Music balancing on the border of kitsch and cabaret commercial deterred potential singers. A friend of the opera singer Wojciech Dowgiałło turned out to be salvation.

Bad luck haunted the album for another year. Mastering works lasted for months. Later, members' personal problems delayed its release. However, around May 2011, everything was ready. Requiem Records got interested in the material.
