The date of the band's formation coincided with the fall of the Iron Curtain. Sisygambis (Christine Coulange and N'chana Manoyana) then went on a tour of Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia and Russia. The contacts made during the trip also resulted in later activities in this part of Europe.
In 1994, Sisygambis were invited to take part in the "Jeźdźcy Apokalipsy"program on Polish Television, they also appeared at the Tcheboksary New Time (Russia 1994) and Alternativa (Prague 1996) festivals.
The band's first cassette, reissued today as a compact, was released in 1993, two years later the album "Interficias te Ipsum" was recorded in Cyber Studio in Katowice.
In 1997, the group recorded the album "Four Stages of Cruelty" in the Czech Tabor, at the alternative CESTA Cultural Center created by the Sabot band from San Francisco. Here, as part of Facing Genders and TH Kultur, Sisygambis began cooperation with the dance formation Butch Uro Teatr Koku (USA, Japan). The artists invited Uro Teatr Koku to Marseille to shoot the video in the 7 Portes Studio they had created. The album was released in 1998, a video was made, and the band embarked on another European tour.
In 1999, together with the Sabot group, Sisygambis set out on a journey along the legendary Silk Road. For six months, they traveled to Shanghai, recording and filming their fascinating images and sounds.
2008 marks the beginning of a journey through Italy, Egypt, Morocco, Comoros, Tanzania, all the way to Zanzibar. During this trip in 2009, N'chan Manoyan, the co-founder of the band, died. The project, however, was continued and under the name "From the Mediterranean Sea to the Indian Ocean" saw the light of day in 2012.
