Datadisk / Verbalizer
Salut Records 7/2006
Energetic sets with a mixture of thud, bigbeat, breakbeat and pressing lines of fat bass, crushing steel with reverbs. Sound acrobatics!
DataVerb is a combined "maxisingle" of two artists: Datadisk and Verbalizer. The idea of the so-called split was created for a simple reason: both performers create a lot of short thematic sets that do not necessarily merge into coherent larger materials but were based on a fresh idea or fascination. Datadisk included 4 pieces inspired by dub music on its set. Of course, dub is just an inspiration here. It has been mutated and processed accordingly. This time the verbalizer is an energetic mix of thud, a bit of bigbeat, breakbeat, pressing bass lines, heavy kick and a few accurate knife throws. An unmanned space probe hovers above everything and spreads rays of destruction. An Empire robot in a bikini pours out from behind the hills. The release is very different from the album "V" released by Salut.
