Mirucki | Łomża Chamber Philharmonic | Zarzycki
159 | ELK 3 | 2017
In 2017, the W. Lutosławski Chamber Philharmonic in Łomża for the third time organized an educational campaign "Colors of music", under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. As part of it, interdisciplinary activities were undertaken, combining visual art and musical creativity of representatives of different eras. By developing musical and artistic imagination, the organizers wanted to sensitize young art recipients to its multidimensionality.
Philharmonic artists brought closer the secrets of the music world, performing during concerts enriched by lectures, presentation of musical instruments and recordings. The culmination of these activities was an art competition addressed to primary school students from Łomża and small school municipal teams. Children with difficult access to culture were also invited to participate, including children from the Nursing Home and students of the Special School Complex. The most interesting works were presented to a wide audience at the exhibition combined with a solemn concert at the Philharmonic.
The album is an integral element of the "Colors of Music" campaign. Its originators and organizers assume that properly presented classical music is a great tool for developing imagination, creativity and sensitivity - by experiencing music with many senses and through its impact on aesthetic and emotional spheres. The campaign pursues the constant goal of promoting culture in its comprehensive nature, especially among young listeners.
