Konrad Kucz feat. Jakub Jakowicz
56 | 2013
An electronic-acoustic symphonic experiment, which is a reminiscence of classical forms of romantic music and contemporary music. This is an album for fans of dreamlike-nostalgic sounds and musical contemplation.
“The four Seasons” is a symphonic form of the Kucz / Jakowicz duo in several parts. This time, Kucz - the head of Polish electronics - invited an outstanding Polish violinist of the young generation - Kuba Jakowicz, the leader of the Lutosławski Quartet.
The album is an experiment that cannot be clearly defined by genre. We can find here references to the tradition of contemporary music of the 20th century, led by Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, as well as reminiscences of classical music and echoes of minimalism. Seemingly distant genres find a common denominator, balancing between dissonance and the sweet, seemingly Hollywood sound of the violin.
