PATHMAN - with a meaning and sound like in ATMAN - is what we really wanted to do: stay on the path we took in 1975. A path leading into the unknown, where we grab a handful of stones, a few sticks, a piece of sheet metal or an instrument held for the first time in our hands and create music. Of course, we also use electronics - without it, recordings would not be made, it would be impossible to show the sonic nuances that fascinate us. During 40 years of our artistic search and experience, countless photos, paintings, graphics, CDs, cassettes, films, articles and books have been created, which are a kind of record of our journey.
We are a generation for which music is not limited to being entertainment, it is not a jammer of surrounding sounds. For us, it is a way of expressing our understanding of the world, approach to nature, man and "civilization". We engage in many activities on a daily basis, apparently having little to do with music - a forester, computer scientist, architect, councilor, educator, editor. However, we find sounds everywhere, they accompany every action. Some are meaningless background, others are strictly defined information about the fullness of meaning. For self-expression, we use a large collection of instruments, objects and tools - acoustic sounds.
