Tomasz Sroczyński / Marek Pospieszalski

Bareness

68 | 2014

The space of the 15th-century temple imposed its form, the acoustics defined the whole, and the reverb became another instrument - next to the violin, saxophone and clarinet.

The project was recorded in a 15th-century church, the acoustics of which inspired and participated in its implementation. As a result, a recording with an unusual sound was obtained, which, enriched with economical electronics and processed in the studio, resulted in songs with a unique color.

Despite the young age of both artists, each of them has significant achievements, i.e. on the jazz scene. Pospieszalski collaborates with Empe3 Mateo Pospieszalski, Wojtek Mazolewski Quintet, Paweł Kaczmarczyk Audiofeeling Band, Piotr Damasiewicz Power Of The Horns and Maciej Obara. The result of Sroczyński's cooperation with Jerzy Mazzoll is the album "Rite of spring variation", released by Requiem Records in 2013.
