The THREE TONS trio consists of: Tomasz Pawlicki - flute, computer; Mateusz Szwankowski - clarinet, bass clarinet and Jacek Buhl - drums, percussion instruments. The idea of ​​creating the band was born in 2013 during one of the many evenings of improvised music held at the "Mózg" Club in Bydgoszcz. This is how they report their meeting: The three musicians decided to go down to the dark dungeons of the Mózg club, where they underwent gallery tortures - several hours of whipping with streams of medieval, ascetic, shrunken and ferociously wounding "whips of simple sounds". Wading along this path, they strive for a form based on the "sunflower theory".

Their music - inspired, among others, by the classics, Mozart, as well as by Schoenberg's dodecaphony - is saturated with specific energy, drawn from the resources of various forms of the second half of the 20th century. They do not shy away from chaos, which, driven with fantasy, directs them to undiscovered "sources" and leads them to a peculiar kind of "endless song".
