Marek Malinowski Quartet

Alone

89 | 2015

The quartet's debut is an album saturated with romantic melody, space and a modern approach to improvisation. The goal of the musicians is to create honest, emotional, and at the same time suspenseful and not obvious and music. Clearly inspired by the European sound, so famous for its specific lyric and noble narrative, they want to share music that is peculiar, original, mysterious, lined with anxiety.

The band consists of: Marek Malinowski - guitar, Michał Michota (Dubska) - trumpet, Paweł Urowski (Dziki Jazz, Akineton, Ectasy Project, CNQ) - double bass, Albert Karch (Jachna / Tarwid / Karch) - drums.

Alone is also a debut as a leader for the 28-year-old Marek Malinowski. He invited three outstanding musicians to cooperate - instrumentalists from different musical worlds with completely different personalities, which enlivens the guitarist's compositions and gives them a specific expression.

The material was recorded during a two-day session in the village of Suchary on 11-12 / 10 2014, under the tender "ear" of Jarek Hejmann from Madzonga Studio.
