L'una vuota

92 | OPUS 3 | 2015

Our journey will begin with the moon, the empty moon (luna vuota), from the first hour [at night?] (L'una vuota). So we are in an empty church (the recording is from the largest church in Warsaw) where the moonlight shines through the large windows under the vault ...

The presented album contains selected compositions of European artists of the young generation, written having the performer in mind. The recordings were made in three Warsaw churches: in the church of St. Anna, All Saints and in the Evangelical Reformed Church.

All the recordings on the L'una vuota album are a record of world premieres of selected works composed especially for the original projects organized by Dariusz Przybylski, presented at the concerts of the Young Club of the Polish Composers during the Warsaw Autumn Festival in 2006–2008 and 2011. The recordings were made in the Warsaw churches: All Saints’, St. Anna’s and the Evangelical Reformed Church. During the 4th edition, 29 works by young composers from 7 European countries and South Korea were premiered.
